Boone and his Kitchen
Thai cuisine is a perfect blend of four flavors: salty, sweet, sour, and spicy. Thai dishes are renowned for combining all four distinct flavors.

Piboon, the founder of Siam Garden (and known to most guests as Boone), has been cooking for over 65 years. From the age of 12, he helped his mother and grandmother prepare family meals in their cramped Bangkok apartment.

After he immigrated to the US in 1970, he worked a wide range of jobs, from selling coffee and donuts on the Staten Island Ferry, to clam harvesting in St. Augustine, to serving celebrities in Fort Lauderdale.

In 1988, Boone moved to St. Pete and opened Siam Garden. It was the city's first Thai restaurant. Today, after more than 35 years, we're proud to continue serving the Tampa Bay area.

Did you know? Thai people don't prefer to eat with chopsticks, they're mainly reserved for noodle dishes. For everything else, they use a fork and spoon.
